This hand-painted cup utilizes gosuzome (a dying technique using gosu, a distinctive pigment) to create the dotted pattern. The round shapes are generously painted in two shades of gosu, rich indigo and deep green, each gaining depth and intensity through the firing process.

Produced in Hasami, Nagasaki Prefecture, the rounded shape is designed to fit comfortably in the hand, with a wall thickness that is ideal for enhancing the drinking experience.

Do not use if cracks, chips or breaks appear.
Do not expose to an open flame or put inside an oven.
Although the base is polished, take care not to drag across surfaces in order to avoid scratching.
Suitable for microwave and dishwasher.
There may be fine hairline cracks in the glaze: this is part of the design and occurs due to the difference in shrinkage rate in clay and glaze.
There is iron powder in the glaze which can result in black spots.
Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as immersing the heated cup in cool water, to prevent cracking.
