Mizunara Whisky Cup

A cup suitable for sake or whisky drinking made from mizunara (Quercus oak).

£125.00 per item

Add-ons total:

This cup is named after the material from which it is made, mizunara (Quercus oak), a type of wood often selected as the material of choice for whisky barrels owing to its deep, smoky scent. The inner base of each cup is scorched, just as a whisky barrel is charred or toasted, to offer a flavourful reaction between the liquid and wood. As time passes, this cup offers the drinker an ever-greater depth of flavour upon drinking and yet maintains its waterproof coating for washing up. The gently curved grain of each cup is unique, and as such no two cups are entirely identical.

Handwash only.

Do not microwave.

Keep away from fire.

Dry thoroughly before storing, avoiding direct sunlight, high temperatures and humidity.
