Narrow Wool Stole – Pools of Light

A double-weaved, soft, lamb's wool stole made in Kiryū in Gunma Prefecture.

£125.00 per item

This stole is one of the many different designs from NUNO’s ‘Colour Plate’ series. It was created in collaboration with Hyōdō Orimono, a specialist in gold and silver brocade sashes in Kiryū. Colour Plate scarves are made using Jacquard looms that can weave incredibly detailed patterns, even in multiple layers and with floating threads. The complex polychrome geometric patterns of this scarf are woven using multicoloured overspun wool yarns crossed with regular wool, producing a crêpe-like stretch fabric. This quality wool is also known for its excellent heat-retention and moisture absorbent properties.

Handwashing at low temperatures recommended.
