Rattan, the material used to make this stool, is a palm species known for its lightweight yet robust nature, making it highly resilient. Rattan is preferred for its excellent ability to be twisted and tied. Its flexibility allows it to withstand folding and bending, making it highly adaptable for different uses. In Japan, rattan has been widely used since the Edo period (1603-1867). From its beginnings in hats, sandals and even pillows, rattan also gained popularity during the 20th century for use in furniture and room accessories. This stool can be used for sitting or as a stand for flower arrangements, bringing the sensibilities of Japanese design and interiors to your home.

Due to the nature of the material, individual pieces may differ.
