Often used in Japan as a rest for cast iron kettles and teapots, the straw pot rest is a simple and natural way to protect surfaces from hot pots and pans. It is part of a large range of household items sourced from artisans the length and breadth of Japan.

If it gets wet, blot excess water and leave to dry it in a well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight.

The small ring can be used for hanging it up.
