Toraya

Toraya has been making high-quality Japanese confectionery (wagashi) since the early 16th century CE. Founded in Kyoto, Toraya has grown to be one of Japan's best-known wagashi makers, and even served as the official purveyor of 'wagashi' to the imperial court under Emperor Go-Yōzei between 1586 and 1611 CE.
