A set of five small forks for enjoying pieces of fruit or wagashi, Japanese confectionery.
The name hime (princess) reflects the charmingly small proportions of this fork. The forks in this set of five are designed for eating pieces of fruit or wagashi, Japanese confectionery.
Specialist craftspeople handle each step of the manufacturing process, from fabricating a template and cutting the form to shaping and polishing. The most labour-intensive step is the creation of the curve from the handle to the tines and combining the sharpened edges by hand.
Made of brass, the hime fork will naturally develop a patina over time.
Hand wash and wipe dry.
