This eco-friendly, reusable food wrap is made of 100% organic materials and is safe to use on food and with tableware. The wraps are made one by one, using a cotton sheet dyed with a mixture of jojoba oil and beeswax, which is known for its antibacterial and moisture retaining properties, helping the food wrapped inside to stay fresh. The beeswax is harvested together with honey produced by honeybees in Iwate Prefecture, then mixed with jojoba oil to increase the natural durability of the wrap. The wax coating ensures the wrap is waterproof, with the oil providing extra smoothness and preventing the wax from cracking.
The fern pattern of this food wrap symbolises purity of heart.
Not microwave safe.
Keep away from heat and open flames.
The wrap will become softer and more flexible through use.

Tōhoku
Tōhoku consists of six prefectures located in the north-east of Honshu island. This region is known for its hot spring (onsen) resorts, colourful festivals, remote sacred mountains and harsh winters. In 2011, the devastating earthquake and tsunami hit the region hard; however, the massive efforts in reconstruction are proof of the people’s resilience. Urushi (lacquer) ware, ironware and the crafting of kokeshi dolls make up but a few of the local industries in this lesser-visited region of Japan.
