焚火台
A laser-cut fire pit produced in a collaboration between designer Nakagomi Akira and Kashimoto Shoten Co., Ltd. in Kitakyūshū, Fukuoka Prefecture.
The PLAY METAL FIRE PLACE is a lightweight, portable fire pit created in collaboration between Kashimoto Shōten Co., Ltd., a sheet metal manufacturer founded in 1949 in Kitakyūshū, Fukuoka Prefecture, and designer Nakagomi Akira. Crafted from four laser-cut, expertly bent interlocking pieces, the fire pit forms an elegant silhouette reminiscent of flower petals when assembled. It features several practical details, including a slot that enhances airflow to the flame.
The metal surface is dyed through immersion in liquid dye, resulting in a durable, dark black finish that resists rust, conceals dirt, and develops a patina over time. Evidence of its refined yet functional design, the fire pit collapses into a compact form weighing just 2.2kg. When folded, it takes the shape of a handbag, making it easy to carry or store, and ideal for camping and enjoying the outdoors.
To avoid corrosion, wipe dry immediately after washing with water and store in a dry place.
Avoid using detergents.
The surface black colouring will be peeled off if the product is rubbed hard or in contact with sharp objects.
Although the product has been treated to resist corrosion, rust may occur due to scratches or age.
The surface may develop a stain-like pattern during use due to oils and other substances.
Please store product in a dedicated case, with the included anti-rust paper.
