杉桶仕込み 五分たまり醤油
Artisan-made tamari soy sauce aged in cedar barrels in Nagano Prefecture.
Experience the rich umami flavour of this tamari soy sauce, crafted in Nagano Prefecture. Tamari carries twice the concentration of flavour as regular soy sauce as it is slowly brewed with half the amount of water and without any added wheat grains. Aged carefully in seven-foot-tall cedar barrels passed down the generations since 1869, this sauce boasts a bold and distinct taste that’s perfect as a dip or for seasoning dishes such as grilled fish.

The central Chūbu region is predominantly mountainous, home to the rugged Japan Alps with coasts on both the Sea of Japan and the Pacific Ocean. The region's history has been shaped by its strategic position between the great cities of Kyoto and Tokyo with Nagoya at its heart. Niigata lies to the north while Mt Fuji can be found in the south in Shizuoka Prefecture.
