A uniquely shaped bag that forms a square when laid flat and a diamond when held.
This bag has a distinctive design, forming a flat square when folded and a three-dimensional diamond when held by the handles. It is created by mate mono, a brand established by Komatsu Matere, a leading textile manufacturer with nearly 80 years of experience in fabric dyeing and development.
The bag is knitted using specialized machinery and deliberately shrunk during the dyeing process to create its unique texture. Unlike sewn products, which generate fabric waste during cutting, this production method minimises waste. Compact in size, it is well-suited for travelling lightly, with space for essentials such as a purse and mobile phone.
Each bag may differ as the dying process can create differing results.

Chūbu
The central Chūbu region is predominantly mountainous, home to the rugged Japan Alps with coasts on both the Sea of Japan and the Pacific Ocean. The region's history has been shaped by its strategic position between the great cities of Kyoto and Tokyo with Nagoya at its heart. Niigata lies to the north while Mt Fuji can be found in the south in Shizuoka Prefecture.
