ワークエプロン 半暖簾
A cotton work apron inspired by noren (split fabric dividers hung in doorways or between rooms, walls, and windows) produced in Kyoto.
This cotton work apron features two functional side slits, inspired by noren (split fabric dividers hung in doorways or between rooms, walls, and windows). Made by KatouKen Flag Shop Co., Ltd., the design draws on the company’s expertise in producing flags and noren, applying their skills to apron-making.
The fabric used is jūban tenjiku, a durable, lightweight and washable cotton material used for flags and noren. The apron’s shorter length offers greater ease of movement, making it ideal for activities such as gardening or DIY. It can be neatly packed away into the underside pocket, making it compact and convenient for storage or carrying. The design also draws inspiration from hannoren (shorter noren typically hung in shop doorways to partially reveal the interior).
