波佐見焼 丼鉢
A carefully designed porcelain bowl from Nagasaki Prefecture.
This porcelain bowl is produced in collaboration between Azmaya and CLASKA Gallery & Shop as an effort to create a bowl for everyday use that exemplifies simple elegance. To meet the frustrating challenge of bowls that turn out to be either too big or too small, size was also key to the bowl’s design, which aimed to produce a rarity: a bowl that is the ideal size. The design was created by Tokyo-based designer Saruyama Osamu and took nearly two years to realize. The bowl is produced in Shiratake-gama, a kiln located in the small town of Hasami, Nagasaki Prefecture, famous for its centuries-old porcelain making heritage.
