ヒバブロック+ヒバ精油
Aomori hiba wood oil and blocks; perfect for adding a pleasant scent to a room.
Aomori hiba, a species of cypress native to Aomori Prefecture in Japan, is revered for its aromatic, antibacterial and insect-repelling qualities.
Add a few drops of oil on each block for the scent to slowly diffuse. The blocks can be placed in the entrance to a home, near shoes or a laundry basket to dissipate bad odours.
Do not expose the wood blocks to direct sunlight or humid conditions for long periods of time.
If mould forms, sand it off and then use a small amount of bleach on a cloth to remove it entirely. Wipe and rinse with running water. Let the wood dry naturally and completely before reuse.
Block size: L3.4 cm x W3.4 cm x H3.4 cm
Oil volume: 12 ml
Tōhoku consists of six prefectures located in the north-east of Honshu island. This region is known for its hot spring (onsen) resorts, colourful festivals, remote sacred mountains and harsh winters. In 2011, the devastating earthquake and tsunami hit the region hard; however, the massive efforts in reconstruction are proof of the people’s resilience. Urushi (lacquer) ware, ironware and the crafting of kokeshi dolls make up but a few of the local industries in this lesser-visited region of Japan.
