Timothy Clark is the former Head of the Japanese Section in the Department of Asia at the British Museum. He was also a curator of the museum’s Japanese collections from 1988 to 2019, growing the number of objects in their collection to over 30,000. He curated a number of exhibitions and authored and co-authored a number of publications. He has received a number of prestigious awards for his contribution and achievements in promoting Japanese culture and is currently an Honorary Research Fellow at the British Museum.
