Nabeshima Celadon Porcelain Teapot

The glaze, made from 100% natural stone, gives this teapot the translucent jade-green colour characteristic of Nabeshima celadon. Its gently tapered spout ensures smooth, precise pouring, while the tea strainer extends to the bottom of the pot for easy brewing.

Established during the Edo period, the Nabeshima kiln was an official kiln producing presentation wares for the Imperial Court and other prestigious recipients. Unlike private kilns, which operated commercially, it focused solely on achieving the highest standards of craftsmanship. Although the kiln closed in 1871, its techniques were inherited by later generations of craftspeople and continue today.

Dishwasher safe when the handle is removed. Avoid repeated bending as it may cause breakage.
