つめ切り プチ
A hand-crafted nail nipper inspired by a cloth pin, made in Niigata Prefecture.
This nail nipper was crafted in Sanjō, Niigata Prefecture, an area in Japan renowned for its high-quality metalworking. Inspired by a cloth pin, the design features a playful accent of colour on the spring mechanism. The compact body is produced using metal injection moulding, a technique originally developed to manufacture components for NASA’s space shuttles, and is then carefully polished and sharpened by hand.
The thin blades provide a clean cut without bending the nail, earning the trust of professionals in nail salons and clinics.
Available in gold and red.
Avoid storing in humid or wet conditions as it can lead to corrosion.
Apply oil regularly to the surface with a soft cloth.
Applying lubricant to the joint can help with smooth movement.
Size: L12 x W6 x H1cm
The central Chūbu region is predominantly mountainous, home to the rugged Japan Alps with coasts on both the Sea of Japan and the Pacific Ocean. The region's history has been shaped by its strategic position between the great cities of Kyoto and Tokyo with Nagoya at its heart. Niigata lies to the north while Mt Fuji can be found in the south in Shizuoka Prefecture.
