和紙の花器カバー かみのかびん 延筒
A paper vase cover hand crafted with Mino washi (Japanese paper) from Mino, Gifu Prefecture.
This paper vase cover is created from washi (Japanese paper) made from mulberry bark fibre by Hayashi Kōgei, renowned for handcrafting interior products from washi since 1949 in Mino, Gifu Prefecture. This region has crafted Mino washi for over a thousand years and is the birthplace of Gifu chōchin (paper lanterns).
Place this paper vase cover over a vase or bottle to instantly transform its appearance, adding an elegant silhouette and the soft, delicate quality of washi.
When setting the paper vase cover over a glass vase, lightly spray water over the expanded paper vase and let it dry in a horizontal position. Keep the sprayed water to a minimum to avoid breaking the washi. Once dried, this treatment will help keep the shape of the vase.
