A small floating vase, shaped like ripples in water, that transforms everyday vessels into vases.
This small floating vase is shaped like ripples in water, with a central void to hold lightweight flowers. When floated in a vessel of water, the flowers appear to stand upright on the surface.
The inspiration for the vase came when designer Ōmura Taku received flowers but did not have a vase at hand. He asked himself how he might create a design that could transform everyday vessels into vases to display flowers.
Made from polycarbonate, the lightweight vase rests on the water’s surface and responds gently to movements in the air. Arranging several in a shallow vessel can create a subtle arrangement of flowers drifting together.
It is recommended to use small and light flowers.
If the flower is toppling over, trim the stem to find the balance.
