A ruler designed for precise millimetre-by-millimetre measurement.
The KOKUYO Real Ruler was developed from a submission to the KOKUYO Design Award—an international design competition focused on stationery, which has a different theme each year. In 2014, the theme was NEXT QUALITY.
This ruler emerged from the designer’s desire to create a tool capable of measuring exactly 1 mm. On standard rulers, the thickness of the printed lines can make it difficult to pinpoint the exact start and end of 1 mm. The KOKUYO Real Ruler addresses this by replacing lines with small flat faces that clearly define each millimetre boundary.
