This round, wooden framed alarm clock is designed by Watanabe Riki in collaboration with specialist timepiece makers Lemnos. Watanabe was one of Japan’s famed design pioneers, known especially for his work on clocks and watches as well as for opening Japan’s first design office in 1949. This alarm clock is named after its celebrated maker, yet each one is unique owing to the natural grain of the wood used for the frame. The clock face is modern yet timeless, with easily readable hands and numbers, mixing the practicality of everyday use with the beauty of craftsmanship.
