A sandalwood-scented sachet by Kyūkyodō, made with fragrance-blending techniques that can be traced back to 1877.
This scented sachet is designed to add a subtle fragrance to clothing, a practice that can be traced back to the Nara period (710 – 794). It contains finely blended aromatic ingredients, including high-quality sandalwood. It can be placed in drawers and wardrobes to provide a pleasant aroma and help protect clothing from insects.
Kyūkyodō was founded in 1663 as a herbal medicine merchant. In 1877, it inherited a fragrance-blending method once reserved for the Imperial Court and continues to preserve and refine it today.
