A body mitt crafted from Sasawashi, a fabric woven from the yarn of washi (Japanese paper) blended with kumazasa (a type of bamboo native to Japan).
This soft body mitt is crafted from an inventive fabric called Sasawashi, woven from a yarn created from washi (Japanese paper) and kumazasa, a species of bamboo grass native to Japan historically used for wrapping food for its natural anti-bacterial properties. The textile uses the strengths of washi and kumazasa, producing a lint-free, highly absorbent woven fabric with washing durability equal to cotton. Additionally, it retains its natural antibacterial and deodorizing qualities even after repeated washing.
The washi‘s ability to absorb body oils is harnessed in the body mitt, allowing for effective cleansing without soap. Simply soak in hot water and gently massage the body to remove dead skin efficiently and leave the body smooth. This, combined with the softness of the mitt, makes it suitable for dry and sensitive skin. It can also refresh the body after sports or outdoor activities by removing stickiness and sweat.
