A set of three sashiko needles in varying lengths, with a needle threader.
A set of three sashiko needles in different lengths. Sashiko is a classic Japanese stitching technique. The needles are the same thickness but vary in length, allowing the most suitable needle to be chosen for each pattern. The longer needles are suited to straight lines and shorter ones to curves. A needle threader is also included for ease of threading.
Founded in 1901, Yokota Co., Ltd. is known for its Daruma-branded threads, long used for sewing, embroidery and other needlecrafts. The thread is firmly twisted and resistant to breaking, while its smooth surface helps it glide easily through the fabric.
