刺し子ふきん
A kit for making a sashiko-embroidered linen handkerchief with Daruma thread.
Create your own sashiko cloth by stitching over the printed design. Sashiko is a classic Japanese stitching technique.
Made from 100% cotton, this navy-blue cloth can be embroidered with threads in colours of your choice (threads sold separately). After washing, the printed guide lines disappear, leaving only the finished stitching. Suitable for use as a tea towel, placemat or table napkin. English instructions are included.
Founded in 1901, Yokota Co., Ltd. is known for its Daruma-branded threads, long used for sewing, embroidery and other needlecrafts. The thread is firmly twisted and resistant to breaking, while its smooth surface helps it glide easily through the fabric.
Available in two auspicious patterns: Sēgaiha (Ocean Waves) and Shippō Tsunagi (Interlocking Circles).
Finished size: approx. 34 × 34 cm
