This teapot was made in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, a place famous in Japan for producing metal ware of exceptional quality. Its delicate rounded shape and seamlessly attaching lid have been created with precision by skilled metalworkers. Stainless steel is an excellent material for teapots, allowing their contents to heat up quickly and evenly. It is also rustproof and very easy to clean, making it an excellent material for kitchen tools. Complementing the simple design, the handle is covered in wisteria rattan, which protects it from overheating and also offers a sure grip. The built-in tea strainer allows tea leaves to mix easily with hot water, while ensuring they do not leave the pot on pouring.

The central Chūbu region is predominantly mountainous, home to the rugged Japan Alps with coasts on both the Sea of Japan and the Pacific Ocean. The region's history has been shaped by its strategic position between the great cities of Kyoto and Tokyo with Nagoya at its heart. Niigata lies to the north while Mt Fuji can be found in the south in Shizuoka Prefecture.
