This zippered pen case is made from handmade washi paper, with katazome patterns and a synthetic leather lining. It is durable and softens with use, developing a gentle sheen over time. It can also be used as an eyeglass case.
Keijusha specializes in Yatsuo washi, a papermaking tradition in Toyama Prefecture originating in the Muromachi period. Treated for water and stain resistance, the paper is highly durable. All stages of the katazome process are carried out by hand, giving each piece its characteristic warmth and individuality.
