This walnut coffee measure was first created by woodworking craftsperson, Morinaga Shōji to meet his own need for a coffee measure. Hand carved from one piece of walnut, the coffee measure has a simple and classic design with a well-proportioned form, a slender handle, and smoothly sanded finish that is comfortable to hold. As it ages, the warm brown of the walnut will develop into a darker shade, reacting to the oils from the coffee beans that it handles over the years.
The coffee measure holds approximately 12 grams of coffee beans.
