ヤマヨ タンブリン
High-quality, handcrafted tambourine from Wakayama Prefecture.
Made by the only wooden tambourine producer in Japan, every part of this tambourine is made by hand by skilled craftspeople in Wakayama City using high-quality materials produced domestically. With sustainability in mind, the tambourine’s jingles are replaceable, and all of its materials are recyclable in order to reduce their impact on the environment. The jingles are made of high-quality stainless steel, with rounded edges, making them both safe and durable, while the natural bent-wood frame is not only hard wearing but has better sound reverberation properties than plastic. Owing to their quality these wooden tambourines have long been a favourite in Japanese schools all over the country.
Due to the nature of the materials used individual tambourines will exhibit differences in wood grain.
