These notebooks from Kyoto feature a new style of binding that only uses one corner to hold the papers together. Its small size and square shape make it ideal for quick note taking and it can be used as a sketchbook or scrapbook. Its covers are made of yūzen washi, a type of ornate Japanese paper with colourful designs that often resemble the elaborate patterns of kimono dyed with the kyo-yūzen technique.
