The name of the range, Shoes Like Pottery, is derived from the manufacturing process where the rubber sole undergoes vulcanization in a kiln, akin to the firing of pottery. This involves heating the sole at 120 degrees for 70 minutes, prompting a chemical reaction with the sulphur present in the raw rubber. This process enhances the flexibility and strength of the sole.
The main body of the shoe is sewn by hand by skilled craftspeople using high quality cotton canvas. This delivers the minimalist aesthetic of this durable footwear, but also adds another element to the classic design.
The shoes are available in a vibrant light red hue.

Soak in water or lukewarm water to clean.
Wash with a shoe detergent or mild detergent, and brush off heavily soiled areas.
Rinse thoroughly.
After washing, shape the shoes with newspaper and dry in a well-ventilated shade.
