Add-ons total:

This tenugui cotton cloth, a versatile and popular item used in Japan for many centuries, was created to celebrate 2024, the Year of the Dragon.

Featuring a pattern of green dragons against a neutral background, this tenugui can be used as a decorative item for the New Year or in some of the other ways that a tenugui is often used, such as wrapping gifts or everyday items, as an accessory or even for cleaning or drying things.

Each tenugui is handcrafted by artisans using the time-honoured chusen stencil-dying technique, giving each cloth a unique appearance.

As one of the twelve signs of the Japanese zodiac, dragons have been revered as sacred beings since ancient times, symbolising good fortune as they ascend from the sea to the sky, carrying wishes for happiness from above.

Handwashing recommended.
After washing, leave to dry completely.
Leaving the product soaked in water for prolonged periods can cause the colour to fade.
