Teori Co., Ltd. manufactures furniture and household objects made of mōsō bamboo (Phyllostachys edulis) in the Mabi area of Okayama Prefecture. In order to maintain the local bamboo groves and use this highly sustainable material effectively, Teori launched the Laminated Bamboo Lumber Project in 2003 in collaboration with designers from Okayama Prefectural University to produce a range of products fit for modern lifestyles and interiors.
