This copper oroshigane (lit. grating metal) is crafted in the shape of a crane, an auspicious symbol of longevity in Japan. Japanese copper graters are highly prized for their excellent sharpness, which produces a very fine level of grating, helping the grated food retain its moisture and flavour. The copper plating on the back ensures the grater fits comfortably in the palm of the hand, while the grating face is coated in a fine layer of tin, preventing it from rusting.
Not microwave safe.
Handwashing recommended.
Size: L9.5 cm x W8 cm
