A glass teapot for both hot and cold teas, to be experienced through sight and taste, by Ippodo of Kyoto.
This teapot is designed to accomodate a wide variety of teas from around the world. Its transparent glass body allows for easy monitoring of the infusion, making it simple to adjust the strength to taste. Loose-leaf teas can be brewed slowly, with the leaves unfurling visibly. When used with sakura tea, a herbal infusion made by steeping pickled cherry blossoms, the pot offers a miniature hanami (cherry blossom viewing) experience.
Made of glass, the teapot does not retain odours, and the lid can be removed for convenient reheating in a microwave. It is also suitable for preparing chilled tea directly in the refrigerator. The teapot is produced by Ippodo, a tea retailer in Kyoto.
Metal lid is not suitable for microwave.
