This is printed catalogue for the Japanorama exhibition that was held at the Centre Pompidou-Metz, France in 2017. Japanorama: New Vision on Art since 1970 contains text by eleven Japanese and French writers with an introduction to the artists and exhibition materials. The texts also offer a critical perspective on contemporary Japanese art.
Hasegawa Yuko is a Professor of curatorial theory and practice, and modern and contemporary art history at Graduate School of Global Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. She is also Director of the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, and Artistic Director of the Inujima Art House Project. She has curated numerous biennales, exhibitions and penned a number of publications.
