A gallery of modern Japanese architecture that examines how these buildings have been photographed.
This book introduces nine photographers, including Futagawa Yukio, Watanabe Yoshio and Ōhashi Tomio, who played a significant role in shaping the visual reception of post-war Japanese architecture. Through their photographs, readers are invited to encounter a range of notable architectural works.
Combining elements of architectural photobook, biography and the history of architectural photography, the volume traces the development of photographic practices within Japanese architectural culture.
