KG+Select award-winning photographers’ works and reflections.
KG+ is an open-call photography festival held as a satellite event of Kyotographie, Kyoto’s international photography festival. Its award section was launched in 2015 as the KG+ Award and has continued since 2019 under the title KG+Select Award.
This book brings together newly edited photographic works by the award recipients, alongside reflections on the development of their practices up to the present day. Featured artists include Koga Eriko, Morita Tomomi and Gu Kenryou, among ten award-winning photographers.
Lucille Reyboz and Nakanishi Yusuke are the directors of Kyotographie and KG+.
Takeuchi Mariko is a writer and critic.
Pascal Beausse is an art critic and curator, and Head of the Photographic Collection at the Centre national des arts plastiques.
