Nishimura Kodo, born in 1989 in Tokyo, is a Japanese makeup artist, author and Buddhist monk. He graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York, majoring in Fine Arts and began working as a makeup artist at the age of 22.

Upon his return to Japan, Nishimura began to train as a Buddhist monk and became a fully ordained monk in 2015. He has appeared in various TV shows and documentaries and frequently gives lectures to inspire people to accept themselves and find authenticity.
