A pair of unglazed cups from Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture, thoughtfully crafted for enjoying green tea.
This pair of cups is crafted in Tokoname City in Aichi Prefecture, home to one of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns and renowned for producing kyūsu (a teapot for brewing green tea).
Jinsui, the manufacturer of the cups was established in the Edo period (1603-1868) and has utilized the durable and water-resistant properties of Tokoname clay for hundreds of years. Unglazed to highlight the clay’s natural texture, these cups feature a minimalist design and are the ideal size for enjoying green tea.
Also available in grey and black.
Not suitable for dishwasher or microwave.
Do not use metal sponges.
Do not expose to naked flames.
Do not use detergent when washing.
