An egg beater that quickly smooths eggs without foam, manufactured in Tsubame-Sanjō, Niigata Prefecture, an area renowned for its metalworking techniques.
This stick-shaped tool is designed to mix eggs smoothly and evenly without the need for whisking. Ideal for preparations that require a uniform texture, such as custard flan or tamago kake gohan, a dish in which raw-safe egg is mixed with freshly cooked rice and seasoned with soy sauce and other toppings.
The tool’s form allows egg whites to be finely cut and blended with minimal effort, even in small vessels. The serrated section of the tool can also be used to remove the chalaza from eggs.
