An inventive pair of chopsticks, designed so their tips remain raised above the table surface when placed on the table.
Created by designer Kobayashi Mikiya, this pair of chopsticks has been thoughtfully engineered to elevate the tips when rested on the table surface. Usually, chopsticks are paired with a chopstick rest to stop the tips from touching the table for hygiene reasons, however, this inventive design plays with the form of the chopstick, allowing the tips to float. This design detail earned them the iF DESIGN AWARD in 2010.
