These sets of colouring pencils are the product of a collaboration between textile designer, minä perhonen, and Faber-Castell, a German writing instrument brand. Each set is inspired by a specific textile designed by minä perhonen. Oasis : A colour scheme incorporating various shades of blue, inspired by the water of an oasis. A narrative is created within the pattern of the textile through the illustration of horses gathering around an oasis. The background is made up of torn paper circles, painted to form a collage of different shades of blue.
Surplus: A condensed and vibrant colour scheme. As the name implies, the textile was created from a collage of offcuts produced from other work.
Symphony: A colour scheme with hazy, warm and smoky hues. The textile portrays a symphony of forest inhabitants, plants and light. The patterns within the textiles show the interactions between these elements, living in harmony, building community and portraying a sense of comfort within the forest.
