This skilfully painted rice bowl features a blue pattern achieved through gosuzome (a dying technique using gosu, a distinctive blue pigment). The hand-painted lines vary in thickness, creating rich depth in the shades of blue. The straight stretching lines depict a growing scouring rush, forming a familiar striped pattern that embodies the warmth and texture characteristic of folk pottery.
