This book follows Studio Mondine, a floral design studio based in San Francisco, California. Introducing new ways to narrate stories through flower arrangements, Studio Mondine respects the existing lineage of ikebana (Japanese flower arranging), while interpreting aspects of it to make art of their own. Taking practices from ikebana, such as finding inspiration in the seasons, seeking balance and simplicity, and favouring unassuming blooms and branches, the book provides step-by-step demonstrations of the creation of seasonal arrangements that follow themes of naturalness, movement, balance and simplicity.
