Expertly handcrafted while adhering to contemporary design aesthetics, this tea cup is made in the style of Banko-yaki. Banko-yaki is a type of Japanese pottery produced in Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture and it’s well-known for its heat-resistant earthenware products. Incorporating the techniques and materials representative of this style, such as iron rich clay, the cups are shaped by hand and fired without glazing, resulting in a coarse texture and elegant shape.
