テーブルランプ
An easily assembled LED lamp made with cutting edge design in Osaka.
This Osaka-made iron table lamp is named ICHI, the Japanese word for ‘one’, after its simple shape and minimalistic design. A combination of modern, ingenious design, high technology and deep-rooted manufacturing traditions, it is produced from start to finish in a family-owned metal factory with processes including mould-making, matte powder coating and engraving. The lamp is powered by four AA sized batteries concealed in the thin, cylindrical body and it can be easily disassembled for use while travelling. By simply pressing the edge of the top of the lamp, it can be turned on and off with a satisfying click, while repeated pressing allows for adjusting the brightness. The warm-coloured LED light shining through a milky white board provides a spotlight in the dark that is gentle on the eyes with 4 different brightness settings and a function that automatically turns off the lamp after a certain period of time.
The Kansai region includes the second-most populated metropolitan area in Japan with its largest city Osaka. Kyoto and Nara, two of Japan’s former capital cities, are home to important temples and shrines and strongholds of intangible cultural heritage, such as the Kyoto textile weaving skills of Nishijin.
