Excellent quality moisturizing oils made of tsubaki seeds on Toshima Island.
This tsubaki seed oil, sourced from Toshima Island located approx. 150 kilometers off the coast of Tokyo. About 80% of the land of Toshima Island is covered by the more than 200,00 camellia japonica (tsubaki) trees. It is from these thriving trees that experts have been extracting the seeds to create these oils for over 300 years. Toshima Island’s peculiar environment, with soil unsuitable for agriculture yet perfect for camellia japonica, produces seeds of excellent quality. These seeds are rich in oleic acid, known for its regenerative properties that work wonders for both the skin and hair as it locks in moisture.
The two variants of tsubaki seed oils here are each designed to cater to different preferences and needs. The first type features seed oil that has been deoxidized immediately after extraction, ensuring the preservation of its natural fragrance and alluring amber hue. This variant boasts a thick texture, providing a deeply nourishing experience.
For those seeking a lighter formulation, the second type of tsubaki seed oil undergoes both deoxidization and deodourization processes. This treatment results in a transparent oil with a light texture, ideal for those who prefer a weightless feel while still enjoying the benefits of tsubaki seed oil.
Store it in a dry and cool place.
