Since 1873, craftspeople at MoonStar have been hand-producing minimal, functional footwear in Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture. The company originally manufactured tabi, Japanese-style socks with a split toe, and jika-tabi, split toe shoes with a rubber sole. Today, Moonstar is known for handcrafting high quality, rubber-soled footwear.
