The Suwada factory is made up of master blacksmiths and craftspeople who create the finest quality cutting tools. The factory was first opened in 1926 by Kobayashi Shukusaburō in Sanjō, Niigata Prefecture, an area famed for metalwork. Since then, Suwada has focused on excelling at the production of high-precision cutting tools - from manicure scissors through to bonsai shears and kitchen tools.
